William Shatner is hosting some new game show and the announcer actually says in the promo "totally Shat-rageous!"i didn't know the past tense of defecating could be an outright extravaganza - all in one game show.
the promo for the now-nixed OJ interview i heard was "totally Simp-similar to a confession!" and the upcoming Bush address to the nation is going to be "Vagina-riffic."
time to cook for tomorrow.

As a writer, I find the corruption of the language by the media to be odious beyond belief. By all means, break the rules consciously and with deliberation when you know what they are - but don't just ignore them and throw good taste to the wind!
I'm thinking in general that people will stop being able to use the written word all together, we'll be iconerate rather than literate. I've gotten emails and handwritten notes this year that shock me because they read like a 5 year old's and these are written by people educated in the First World. I had a sweeter, more understandable email from a sweet friend which was missing a fair few prepositions but otherwise perfect - she's fairly recently from Vietnam - I think I can cut her some of a break, haha :)
In closing, the media needs to be spanked by a large black man called Bubba. Nuff said!
